Thanks Steve. This is beautiful. We couldn’t be there as we’re traveling. Brian was a dear, sweet man and his death is a loss to so many of us: family, friends and colleagues.

Thank you, Steve. I was never aware of him, all the times I listened to you on Morning Edition and other wonderful NPR programming. Now I am aware, and grateful. I feel bad for the suffering he experienced in his last years. But I'm glad for the silent impact he had on so many lives through his work at NPR.
